Who is the MFRW? Why do they hold a place on the ME GOP State Committee?

According to the ME GOP Rules & Bylaws, the MFRW President is a voting member of the ME GOP State Committee and participates in all activities.  The MFRW was incorporated in 1946 and is part of the National Federation of Republican Women, which was founded by a Mainer, Marion Martin in 1938.  Currently, Maine has 4 regional clubs with 10 members each and many”at-large” members.

Its members main purpose is to get Republicans elected at all levels and you can see its members: working at the polls as poll workers and/or watchers; registering voters; making phone calls; getting signatures; “manning” the various headquarters during election seasons; and participating in various State, County, Town activities and of course, the ME GOP Convention.

They do various fundraisers to help our candidates, such as Lisa York & JoAn Petersen both brought in sponsors for a hair cutting event and now both have short hair! The MFRW paid for the College Republicans’s flag “The best party on Campus” that they bring to events and parades.

If you would like more information or want to join the group, please join us!

In the meantime, here is a “Where’s Waldo” exercise for you…below is one of our officers attending the National Federation of GOP Women.  See if you can find her?  Hint…she is wearing red!
