The 2025 Maine State Convention is now in the history books! Many thanks to our State GOP Chair, Jim Deyermond from York County, and his entire staff for planning and organizing a fun and well-executed convention. It was jam packed with GOP business, speeches by national and state candidates, live music by the Timber Creek Band and a solo by Terry Swett, introduction of Maine House and Senate candidates and numerous exhibits.
Highlights included presentations by Maine’s Senator Susan Collins, past governor and current candidate for Congressional District 2, Paul LePage, and candidates for Congressional District 1, Joshua Pietrowicz and Ron Russell.
The highlighted speaker at Saturday night’s dinner was Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina who enthralled the audience with his personal story and praise for Senator Collins, strolling amongst and interacting with attendees. It was an evening to remember!
Congratulations to Kennebunkport residents, Elizabeth Jordan and Marcayla Amadei, who were voted in as 2 of the 5 State Committee Members-at-Large. Also, Nancy Ford of Wells was re-elected to the position of State Committeewoman.
